How do I apply for housing?
It’s quick and easy! All applications and reservations for housing are completed on-line. Simply visit www.KSUHousing.com, click on Reserve A Room on the yellow sticky note on the Home page, then scroll down and click Enter WebRoomz; Log in with your username and password or if it’s your first time logging in, click Register. Follow the on-line instructions and reserve your housing on campus. Please note you can apply for housing at any time; however you must be accepted to Kennesaw State University before you can reserve a room.

How much does it cost to live on campus?
KSU Housing offers 4 communities on campus. To view housing rates visit www.KSUHousing.com, click on the community links on the right side of the page, then click amenities and scroll down for the rates associated with that community.

Can I use financial aid to pay for my housing?
Yes. The only exception is the HOPE Scholarship, which can only be used toward tuition and books. If you want any of your other financial aid to be used to pay for housing, simply complete a Deferment form with KSU Housing at 3805 Canton Place, Kennesaw, GA 30144 (770-426-0668) and then deliver that form to the KSU Bursar's Office, located on the 2nd floor of the Student Center. Please note: you must have accepted the financial aid awarded to you before completing the deferment form. Deferment forms are due each term and must be completed before the deadline for that term.

Do I have to be a full-time student (taking 12 or more semester hours) to live on campus?
Yes. All students must be enrolled and taking classes at the time they are living on campus. If you are academically dismissed from the University, you will be asked to vacate your apartment. If you are not taking classes during a semester for any reason, you will be asked to vacate your apartment. Please note, however, that you are still responsible to fulfill your housing contract obligation. Not taking classes does not mean you get out of your contract. The only exception to this rule is during the Summer, when students who have stayed with us during the regular academic year are allowed to remain in their apartments over the Summer, regardless of whether or not they are taking classes.

What if I sign a housing contract and then my accepted pending status changes and I won’t be attending KSU?
If, prior to the Housing Contract start date, you provide notice to KSU Housing that you will not be attending Kennesaw State University or that your final status is not accepted to Kennesaw State University, you may terminate your Housing Contract. You will, however, forfeit all fees paid. You will be required to sign a Pending Cancellation Form. This form can either be picked up at the KSU Housing office located at 3805 Canton Place, Kennesaw, GA 30144 or can be faxed or mailed to you at your request.

How do I cancel my Housing Contract?
Once you sign the Housing Contract you have a contractual obligation to pay for the full contract. In the event that you have to vacate your apartment, you may find an appropriate person to take over your contract (reassignment) or you may request to terminate your contract (termination). There is a fee to reassign your contract and you are rent-responsible until you find someone to take over your contract. There is a termination fee that is due should you request a termination fee. Discuss both options with your Property Manager and decide what is best for your situation.

What is the Cleaning Fee?
The Cleaning Fee is paid each time you reserve a new room and covers basic cleaning and painting of your unit. It will not cover damage, replacement or excessive cleaning.

What is the Administration Fee?
The Administration Fee includes all fees associated with your application and reservation processing. This is a onetime fee that is paid the first time you reserve and covers your reservation processing each year as long as you remain in KSU Housing. This is a Non-Refundable fee.

What is the Residence Life fee?
The Residence Life Fee is paid annually by all residential students for programming and activities organized by the Residence Life Department for residential students. All residents are encouraged to get involved in the RHA or with their Community Councils and provide input on programs and services offered and how the fee is used. To find out how to get involved with RHA or Community Council, contact your RA or visit http://www.kennesaw.edu/residencelife/handbook.pdf

Are there rules I must follow to live on campus?
Absolutely! A violation of the Student Code of Conduct, the Residential Code of Conduct, or the KSU Housing Rules could result in your dismissal from housing. As with academic dismissals, dismissals from housing related to disciplinary action do not automatically release you from your contractual obligation with KSU Housing. You will still have to fulfill your Housing Contract obligations. More information is available in the KSU Resident Handbook or to view the KSU Housing rules or any document you agreed to on-line log on to your AMS account, then click My documents.

What do I do if I lose my key, key card or am locked out of my room?
If you are locked out and need access to your room during the day, simply stop by the leasing office with your photo ID for a temporary card/key. If you are locked out at night call your RA or on call emergency maintenance to gain access. There is a $25 fee for after hours lock outs. If you lose your keys and need a replacement key or key card, you can request these at the leasing office. There is a $25 key card and a $5 hard key replacement fee. The leasing office does not accept cash.

Where are the mailboxes located?

KSU Place mailboxes are near A building for Phase I and near the volleyball court for Phase II. University Place mailboxes are located near the bottom entrance to Town Hall.
